About the Piece

Acrylic on layered driftwood. Salad says about this piece: the title of this picture is taken from a Ron Sexsmith song. More often than not, there is no obvious thread to road mapping a picture. This is a composition that really looked after itself and chose its own route all the way throughout. The shape of the wood pieces is integral to this process and certainly lays down the blueprint early on to where things finally end up.
